Bio

Pedro Fernandes is an illustrator who specializes in natural history, particularly birds and fish.

Having majored in earth sciences at University of Lisbon, he later achieved his certification in science illustration from the University of California. He has been working as a freelance illustrator ever since. Pedro has illustrated for several publishing houses and non-governmental organizations, contributing including the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Princeton University Press, Storey Publishing, Éditions Fleurus, Schwager & Steinlein Verlag among others.

When not at the drawing board, Pedro is most likely out birding, or sketching, or both.
